Our Mission
Volunteerism at the Core
Volunteer work is fundamental to The Royal Canadian Legion, which thrives as a grassroots organization. Legionnaires form one of the largest volunteer groups in Canada, dedicating millions of hours each year to community service.
Local Branches raise funds and provide essential services to meet community needs. This includes outreach and support for Veterans and their families, fundraising for vital services, assisting seniors and families in need, organizing commemorative events, and responding to local crises. If you want to make a difference in your community, contact your local Branch to get involved.
A Hub for Connection
Legion Branches act as central gathering places for residents, often serving as community centers. They host weddings, town meetings, BBQs, memorial services, and various events, fostering a sense of community. We invite everyone to visit their local Branch to discover the services and activities we offer.
Supporting Youth in Our Communities
The Legion is a major supporter of youth activities across Canada. We promote Remembrance among young people and collaborate with schools and youth organizations to honor our Fallen Veterans.
